Biography

Egmont.

The orchestra Wiener Akademie –and renown conductor Martin Haselbock– renew their collaboration with John Malkovich to bring to life a new English adaptation and translation of Goethe’s Egmont by Academy Award winner Christopher Hampton accompanied by a soprano and the soul stirring music of Bethoveen’s incidental music.

An evening of intense emotion and drama await the recital of the adapted text integrated into such music as Klärchen’s songs, «Die Trommel gerühret» and «Freudvoll und leidvoll».
